Christy A Rentmeester, PhD

A moral philosopher with over 20 years of experience in academic medicine and in publishing, Dr Rentmeester is known for analytical dexterity with a wide range of disciplinary perspectives. She is devoted to helping a range of students and junior colleagues cultivate ethics investigation as a critical health professional skill set. For its final decade, Dr Rentmeester led journal-based and multimedia content development for an online peer-reviewed bioethics journal of national and international renown. She continues an educational mission of getting good teaching tools into the hands of anyone who wants to get better at formulating and asking good questions and at thinking more powerfully than we typically do about our individual and collective health experiences.

Dr Rentmeester has developed hundreds of continuing education activities and has guided junior and senior clinicians’, students’, artists’, and writers’ investigations into some of the most significant, neglected, and complex problems in the health sector. She’s a writer, editor, teacher, and mentor with a penchant for framing broad-ranging inquiry in incisive, creative, compelling, accessible ways for diverse audiences.
